Leadership Day 2003 The third annual Leadership Day, "Growing an Image: Yours, Mine, Ours" was held on May 1, 2003. The day was a huge success. Mark Eppler started the day off with a motivational speech on "How to Create an Image That Will Last a Hundred Years". He also came back later in the day with Bob Ward from Ethicon Endo-Surgery to give a break out presentation on "Sustaining an Image that Attract Customers and Employees".
Other break out sessions included Ann Marie Sabath who spoke on "Developing Your Professional Image: Ten Ways to Gain a Competitive Edge", Denny Begue from the Clermont Chamber of Commerce along with Bill Lyon from the Lyon Group spoke on "Creating and Renewing Community Image". Stacy Stufft from Pinger Public Relations presented "How to Build Your Corporate Image". Completing the break out sessions was Jeannie Tharrington from the Procter & Gamble Company, she spoke on "Assessing Your Corporate Image: The Importance of Reputation Surveys".
All attendees loved being able to meet and talk with our very own nationally known celebrity Rodger "Kentucky Joe" Bingham from the CBS hit reality series "Survivor". Rodger was the keynote speaker and he spoke about "Maintaining Your Personal Image Through Adversity". Rodger learned this first hand when he was placed on an island with 15 other individuals trying to win a million dollar prize. He didn't win the grand prize but he was able to play the game an still maintain his personal morals and dignity. The day was wrapped up when the current LEAD Clermont class presented their community projects for the year. This year's Leadership Day could not have been possible without the wonderful support of our sponsors. They were The University of Cincinnati - Clermont College, Cinergy, Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP, ZF Batavia LLC, The Clermont Community Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, Clermont Chamber of Commerce, Santoro Engineering, New Richmond National Bank, 3 M Precision Optics, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Outpatient, The Midland Company, New York Life, dBest, RJ Fields Architecture, Spirit of America Bank & Waste Management, Inc. The day was also made possible by the planning group consisting of Glenda Neff, Chris Zimmerman, Ron Frey, Ben Holman, Patricia Pryor and special help from Sandy Bradford and Karen Wehrman.
